Biography
Gaby V
Puerto-Rican born, San Francisco based singer/songwriter Gaby Velazquez has been living the musical dream. Raised in Southern California, Gaby’s sound has been compared to the likes of Paul Simon and David Byrne, but his style is truly his own. In 2005, the multi-faceted artist—who majored in creative writing and music in college–left a successful corporate real estate job to follow his passions for music and travel. Over the course of 6 months, Gaby traveled Nicaragua, Panama, and Costa Rica, which set the tone for his return and ignited many songs that Gaby still performs today.
Gaby has performed at venues like the Fillmore, Cafe du Nord, the Red Devil Lounge, and the Hotel Utah and has collaborated with a handful of world class musicians in Dan Lebowitz (ALO), Inx Herman (Hamsa Lila), Mark Calderon, and Colin Hoops (Kanvus). Let Me In was mixed by Grammy award winning engineer Oz Fritz, whose legendary work includes sessions with Tom Waits, Les Claypool and Trey Anastasio!
